The Client
Khoja Business Leaders’ Summit Magazine, Davos, Switzerland
Editing Edge were asked to produce the magazine which accompanied the inaugural Khoja Business Leaders’ Summit in Davos, Switzerland.
The summit was born out of the idea of connecting the global entrepreneurs, philanthropists and highest achievers worldwide from the Khoja community of Shia Muslims.
This was a very high-profile event as the net worth of the attendees was estimated at $15 billion.
The Problem
We were tasked with producing a 74-page magazine for this high-profile occasion in three days over one very long weekend (Friday to Sunday) as the summit deadline loomed. We had to work with contributors and interviewees in California, Dubai, India and the UK. On top of that we liaised with a graphic design house in Serbia – who did a fantastic job.
The Answer
We had to assimilate a huge brief and write a wealth of compelling copy. We created it using profiles we’d written for the summit website; new features on charities and philanthropic foundations; Q&A and fact-file pages; features on health, fitness and entrepreneurship; and welcome messages spun out of keynote speeches.
